Spalding Reservation


Features:

The furthest upstream portion of AVIS land along the Merrimack River borders the Tewksbury line.

History:

This reservation was purchased from Kenneth W. and Hildegarde L. Spalding in 1973.

Deer Hunting:

Deer hunting with bow and arrow from tree stands will be allowed on this Reservation during the state bow hunting season. Bow hunting is allowed on the new Behrakis Reservation just west of the Spalding Reservation. Bow hunting is allowed just east of the Spalding Reservation on the new portion of the Deer Jump Reservation that used to be part of the Saint Francis Seminary. For more information, see here.
